The Unicorn is a “mystical” being — a symbol of our authentic expression, of the unique constellation of energies that lives within each of us.
For some, it is deeply hidden and denied.
For others, it is already somewhat known, explored, understood and expressed.
It is that part of ourselves that, when we experience it fully, brings the deepest and most genuine joy, fulfilment, inspiration and sense of meaning.
It is the part that makes us want to wake up every morning and create, build, explore, play, discover, experience and simply be.
When we are connected to it, life feels lighter. Things begin to unfold through acceptance and a deeper understanding of everything that happens.
Every day becomes a new, magical adventure — and where it will lead is always a surprise.
We knew this as children.
Perhaps we did not understand everything, but almost every day felt like a new beginning.
No two days felt quite the same, even though it might have been the same yard, the same children, the same trees and bushes, the same playground, the same surroundings.
There were fewer external distractions and forms of entertainment, yet the joy, inspiration, desire to make friends, to play and to create together were genuine.
Everything happened naturally, in the flow of the day.
We followed wherever the day took us, creating it as we went — and somehow, it all felt joyful.
There was no pressure to earn money.
No weight of the material world.
No countless borrowed responsibilities.
No endless roles to play in order to belong.
No expectations to live up to.
There were the same old shorts, the same yard, the same children — and joy.
So much joy.
Some people have cherished, protected and preserved this part of themselves all the way into adulthood.
Others have lost it somewhere along the way.
Forgotten it while playing too many roles.
Searched for their worth in other people.
Chased after love.
Tried to become what was needed, expected or accepted.
Experience.
Life.
Each of us does the best we can with what we know, what we feel and what we are able to understand.
Each of us experiences life in our own unique way.
And yet, the inner Unicorn never truly leaves.
It is always waiting for the moment when it can once again be seen, recognised, embraced — and set FREE.
And then…
the reunion happens.
And with it comes Joy.
