We usually meet individually once or twice during this period. Between our meetings, the person works independently, taking practical steps and experimenting in real life.

The task might be to:

  • discover and express their authenticity;
  • develop a new talent or skill;
  • create something they have been postponing;
  • build a product or project;
  • begin sharing their work publicly;
  • make videos and start communicating through Instagram;
  • take a step toward a new professional direction;
  • or simply do something that brings them beyond their familiar boundaries.

But the practical action is only one side of the process.

The real exploration happens in the interaction between the outer action and the inner world.

What appears when you act

For example, a person may decide to start posting videos on Instagram. They take the practical step — record and publish a video — and suddenly discover what appears inside:

  • “What will people think?”
  • “Who am I to speak about this?”
  • “I don’t know what to say.”
  • “I feel ashamed.”
  • “I want to disappear.”
  • “Maybe my work isn’t good enough.”

Instead of seeing these reactions as reasons to stop, we use them as information.

We investigate what has been activated.

  • What is underneath the shame?
  • Where does the fear come from?
  • What belief has appeared?
  • What is protecting itself?
  • What old experience is being repeated?
  • What part of the person is trying to remain invisible?
  • What is blocking the natural movement toward expression?

Then we work with what has emerged.

A continuous cycle

The outer world becomes a mirror for the inner world.

And the inner world becomes a guide for changing the way we act in the outer world.

Instruments you keep

An important part of Tunnel Work is that I don’t want a person to become dependent on me to understand themselves.

I teach them instruments of conscious self-observation and analysis — ways to recognize what is happening inside them, identify what is blocking them, understand their reactions and consciously work with what they discover.

I call this process Active Consciousness Light: bringing awareness into places that previously operated automatically or unconsciously.

Through practice, the person gradually learns to become their own observer, investigator and guide.

They begin to recognize:

  • This is fear.
  • This is an old pattern.
  • This is shame.
  • This is someone else’s expectation that I have taken on.
  • This is a protective mechanism.
  • This is actually my authentic desire.
  • This is where I am holding myself back.

And instead of automatically following the reaction, they learn to pause, see it, understand it and choose what to do next.

Life itself becomes the laboratory

That is why Tunnel Work is not only about completing a particular task or achieving a particular result.

The deeper goal is to develop a repeatable inner instrument that the person can carry into everyday life.

After the tunnel ends, the work does not have to end.

The person can continue using these instruments independently — in relationships, work, creativity, communication, decisions, new projects and everyday situations.

Every challenge can reveal something.

Every reaction can become information.

Every blockage can become an entrance to deeper understanding.

Every action can become an opportunity to meet yourself more honestly.

The purpose is to gradually move from “Something is stopping me”, to “I can see what is happening inside me”, and eventually to “I know how to work with what is happening inside me”.

This is where inner work becomes practical. Not escaping from life to work on yourself, but using life itself as the path of consciousness, discovery and transformation.

You learn instruments of conscious self-observation

  1. Notice what is happening inside
  2. Name the emotion or reaction
  3. Find the root: belief, experience, pattern, protection
  4. Understand, with awareness and compassion
  5. Release what is no longer true or needed
  6. Choose a new conscious action, from your truth

This is Active Consciousness Light — bringing awareness to the unconscious.

You move from

  1. Something is stopping me.
  2. I can see what is happening inside me.
  3. I know how to work with what is happening inside me.
